What are these three kinds of websites?

Hoax - a website that saying things that aren't real is not real

Wiki - a website that everybody can change/edit

Urban Legend - a website that has stretched the truth

Dear Class,

On November 13 2008, I interviewed a friend named Katerina. Katerina is 12 years old, and is my AWESOME/FABULOUS PARTNER! I asked Katerina some questions… I asked her what her favourite book was, what her favourite joke/trick is, and I also asked her what her favourite game is.

Katerina’s favourite book is the Twilight series. Twilight is about a girl named Bella, that moved to Forks, Washington, and met a weird family of people... little did she know that this family was a family of vampires. Katerina likes this book because of its romance, mystery, and problem solving.

Katerina’s best trick/joke is The Honk, where she makes a weird noise when she exhales, she called this the honk. Katerina discovered this brilliant talent by laughing in gym class, and being embarrassed, but she soon discovered that it is something fun and silly.

Katerina’s favourite game to play is The Sims 2. Katerina likes to play this game because it’s like real life and she likes to kill people in the game. One of Katerina’s favourite experiences with the game is when she was curious as to what would happen if a whole family of people died at one time. She burnt the whole family, and the grim reaper came to the house and started to watch TV. Katerina had to exit the game to get out of it all.

Yours sincerely,

Yashar and Katerina

I looked at 8 websites to see which ones are fake and silly, and untrsuted, and which ones were protected and safe sites. There were some clues that we sub-conciously used, like if its going over the top in the product of idea that the website is introducing. (i.e : wings tied to your back makes you fly!)

Here are the sites we trust:

Golfcross - Because it sounds weird, but it's a smart idea and it would work.
Inreach - Because its a real problem and its evry believeable

Here are the sites we DON'T trust:

The Dog Island - Because it's absurd, and we looked it up on wikipedia and it turned out to be an island that looks like a dog.
Shibumi - This is just a joke..
StephenWorks (Funky Shoes) - it looks like a very old and unrealistic site
Fun Phone - Because in small letters it says "This site is proud to have been banned by ..."
Bandersnatch - Because its it such a weird idea that would never work, it is very obvious to me that this is a site that doesn't work
Buy Dehydrated Water - I dont usually trust sites where u buy things online, it can always be a lie.

Internet Safety ..

S - afe .. Keep safe by being careful not to give out personal information – such as your name, email, phone number, home address, or school name – to people who you don’t trust online

M - eeting .. Meeting someone you have only been in touch with online can be dangerous. Only do so with your parents’ or carers’ permission and even then only when they can be present

A - ccepting .. Accepting emails, IM messages, or opening files, pictures or texts from people you don’t know or trust can lead to problems – they may contain viruses or nasty messages!

R - eliable .. Someone online may be lying about who they are, and information you find on the internet may not be reliable

T - ell .. Tell your parent, carer or a trusted adult if someone or something makes you feel uncomfortable or worried. You can report online abuse to the police at: www.thinkuknow.co.uk

Today i learnt what these three words really mean..
Alias - a kind of Username
Vetted Sites - A trusted, and protected site
Predator - a Predator is someone or something that wants to harm you on purpose

I also learnt what "S-M-A-R-T" stand for (at the top)

"I really don't like talking about money. All I can say is that the Good Lord must have wanted me to have it."

-Larry Bird
